We're tired of bad PDF embeds.

PDFembed started as a Friday-afternoon side project after we tried to ship a whitepaper page and watched five different browsers render the same PDF five different ways. Native PDF embeds are inconsistent. Adobe redirects feel like 2008. PDF.js is great but takes an afternoon to wire up correctly.

So we wrapped the open-source EmbedPDF viewer in the simplest possible interface: paste a URL, get an iframe. No SDK, no account, no API key. Just a tag you can paste into a CMS.

We keep PDFembed free because the underlying viewer is open-source and the hosting cost is small. If you want to support the project, star EmbedPDF on GitHub or tell a colleague. That's the whole story.
