What we collect
When you visit pdfembed.com, our server logs your IP address, user agent and request path for 30 days, for security and capacity planning. When you paste a PDF URL into the generator, that URL stays in your browser — we don't transmit it to our servers.
What the viewer transmits
The hosted viewer (pdfembed.com/embed/) fetches the PDF directly from the URL you provide. The request comes from the visitor's browser, not our servers. We do not proxy, cache or store the PDF content.
Cookies
We set one preference cookie (`pdfembed.lang`) to remember your language choice. That's it. No analytics cookies, no third-party trackers, no advertising IDs.
Embeds on your site
When a visitor loads a page with a PDFembed iframe, their browser makes a request to pdfembed.com/embed/. That request is logged in the same way as any other web request (IP, user agent, referrer) and discarded after 30 days.
Data requests
If you'd like a copy of any data we hold related to you, or you'd like it deleted, email privacy@pdfembed.com and we'll respond within 5 business days.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. We won't email you — we don't have your email.
